The full list

Which service do you need?

Each service has its own page explaining what it covers, the signs that point to it and what to have ready before you call.

Oil changes

Fresh engine oil at the interval your owner’s manual gives. Old oil breaks down and holds onto debris, so even a car that seems to run fine needs it on schedule.

Filter replacements

Engine air, cabin air and other filters clog up over time. A restricted filter can affect airflow to the engine or the air you breathe inside the car.

Tire rotations

Moving tires between positions so they wear more evenly. Front and rear tires do different jobs and wear at different rates.

Brake repairs

Help with noise, vibration, pulling or a pedal that feels wrong. Brake repairs are one of the shop’s main services.

General auto repair

For problems that aren’t routine upkeep: a new noise, a warning light, a car that starts or drives differently than it used to.

Before you call

JJs Garage does not work on imports

The shop does not service imported vehicles, so if you drive one, this saves you a wasted trip. For any other vehicle, give the year, make and model when you call so you can confirm the work you need is a fit.

Maintenance or repair?

Planned upkeep and unplanned problems

Oil changes, filter replacements and tire rotations are maintenance. They’re due because of time or miles, not because something broke. Your owner’s manual lists the intervals, and they usually depend on how you drive. Lots of short trips, towing or long idling often mean a shorter schedule.

Brake repairs and general auto repair start with a symptom: a sound, a feeling or a warning light. If you’re not sure which group your concern belongs in, describe what the car is doing instead of guessing at a part.

What you notice, and where to start

This list is only a starting point, not a diagnosis. If your brakes feel unsafe, don’t drive the car. Get help moving it instead.
