About · Cary, Illinois
JJs Garage is an auto repair shop in Cary, Illinois. It started for a simple reason: JJ likes fixing cars. Today the shop handles routine maintenance, brake repairs and general auto repair.
The story
There isn’t a long origin story or a corporate mission statement here. JJ got started because he likes fixing cars, and JJs Garage grew from that interest. We think it’s the most honest answer we can give.
Liking the work shows up in what the shop chose to do: keep everyday vehicles maintained and fix them when something goes wrong. That covers routine jobs like oil changes, filter replacements and tire rotations, plus brake repairs and broader repair work.
What the shop works on
The shop focuses on routine maintenance and brake repairs, and it also takes on general auto repair. Each one has its own page if you want more detail:
JJs Garage does not work on imports. We’re saying it up front so nobody makes a wasted trip. If you aren’t sure where your vehicle fits, give the make, model and year when you call.
Good questions for any shop
Every shop handles things a little differently, so it helps to ask directly instead of assuming. These are good questions to ask any repair shop, JJs included:
Ask how you’ll hear about the cost and whether any extra work needs your OK first. Getting this clear early prevents surprises at pickup.
Ask how long the car is likely to be there. Parts availability and what turns up during the inspection can change how long a job takes.
Ask what kind of parts will be used and whether the work comes with a warranty. Keep your paperwork in case you need it later.
Planning a visit
The shop is at 3343 main St Cary il. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7am to noon.
Business hours aren’t the same as a booked appointment. Call to set a time before you bring the car in. If you need to drop the car off early or pick it up late, ask about it on the call rather than counting on it.
If your brakes feel unsafe or the car doesn’t seem safe to drive, don’t drive it in. Get help moving it safely.
